Sweet Success!

Matt's final wound was closed this afternoon with a skin graft. Congratulations, Matt! As long as there continues to be no infection, he will have no more surgeries! The next steps are physical therapy and fitting for prosthetics. Matt will continue to need our support and prayers, as this will be a long road. But, he is off to an great start.
More pictures of Matt and his family will follow in the next few days, so stop on back soon to see his healing and progress.

Matt- Glad to read there are no more surgeries.
The healing and rehab. ahead will be challenging-however you are one person who seems to be capable of facing a challenge and making the best of it.
I really enjoyed seeing the picture of you with Tessa and the girls-they are certainly all lovely and the girls resemble you strongly. They likely miss you.
God bless you today Matt, and say "hi" to your parents on behalf of the HTS community-we're all thinking of you, and praying for the best.

Dear Matt,

I am sure you are relieved to have these surgeries behind you. I know these next steps will not be easy…but I believe that all things are possible when the Holy Spirit is with you and so many people are praying for you. Mary Stofferahn, a 6th grade teacher at HTS, has asked many of us to pray the following prayer for you:

Christ be in front of Matt and his family.
Christ be behind Matt and his family.
Christ be to the left of Matt and his family.
Christ be to the right of Matt and his family.
Christ be above Matt and his family.
Christ be below Matt and his family.
Christ be all around Matt and his family.
Christ be all through Matt and his family.
Please stay with them, guide them, and protect them,
keep them in Your Love and Mercy.
Amen

My prayer is that you will feel God with you as you face the next phase of your recuperation.

Please tell you parents hello and give them my love.

The picture of you, Tessa and the girls is wonderful…that’s what it is all about! Your girls are beautiful!

I’m sending much love to you and your family!

May God bless you and fill your days with strength, fortitude, and peace!
